CreekWest was founded in 2023 by brothers Tylor & Mackenzie Nielsen after years of experience running a general contracting company in Calgary and surrounding areas. With over 1,500 completed projects—including everything from basement foundations to detached garages to full renovations—they saw firsthand the gaps in the homebuilding process.

Through building homes for their own families, the brothers recognized just how stressful the process could be for the average homeowner. Financing felt rigid. Designs weren’t flexible. Transparency was rare. So, they decided to change that.

CreekWest was born out of the desire to offer a better homebuilding experience—one that prioritizes people, not just projects. With deep local roots and a decade-plus in construction, the Nielsen brothers bring a hands-on, family-first approach to every build.
